'my name is SuitSat... are you receiving...?'
In lower earth orbit there is over 100 million pieces of space junk. One of those objects is a decomissioned space suit, thrown out of the ISS with a radio transmitter attached. Inspired by the real story of SuitSat, SpaceJunk imagines what would a space suit drifting alone in orbit have to say?
Our on earth protagonist Jocelyn picked up SuitSat's signal one day and they formed a remarkable friendship - understanding each other through the role they played in caring for the people in their lives. We hear that conversation. We learn what it means to matter, how hard it is to let things and people go.
Suitable for audiences 15+, this film is an opportunity to bring more audiences into your planetarium or dome theatre and explore the intersection of astronomy and storytelling.
